August's exhibit at ARTBOX will feature new works by Max Stolkin
Stolkin likes the physicality of expression. Through the day in/day out labor of creating, he has established a sense of being in the world. He is interested in the breadth of nature and our fragile place there. The work of time on natural forms, destruction and brutality yield a staunch beauty. Max's work itself is subject to a similar process. Failure sets him in places he needs to work out of, initiating change in the work. Max is interested in objects that can stand still in time and hold grace.
Opening reception will be Friday, August 6th from 5:00 pm to midnight. Exhibition dates August 6th, 2010 to August 30th, 2010
Entrance and parking on Senate, between 9th & 10th.
ARTBOX Downtown is open until 10pm for First Friday as well! ARTBOX Downtown is located at 245 McCrea Street, just off of Georgia and McCrea, across from the Omni Severin, first floor of Janus Lofts.
